Support for Academics

College Possible, a Seattle-based program with a group at GHS, which serves promising, low-income young people by helping them prepare for and earn admission to college, office on 3rd Floor.

Garfield College Network

Peer Tutoring – Garfield students

Study Center – After school tutoring in the Career and College Center, M-Th from 2:20-4:00. Library is open until 3:15.

Tutoring After School – Overview of all programs offering support in afternoons.

Upward Bound – City of Seattle program preparing high school students for higher education.

 Y-Scholars – A choice program for incoming 9th graders with classes in a cohort and ongoing activities in upper grades. Supported by YMCA-Meredith Matthews East Madison Branch, Garfield staff and parents,Garfield PTSA and Americorp volunteers.
