Garfield Science Foundation Mission Statement

The Garfield Science Foundation exists to raise funds to help support the science programs at Garfield High School. These funds allow science teachers to conduct field trips and to purchase equipment and supplies to run classroom science laboratories.

Additionally, the foundation recruits parent and other interested volunteers to help in the classroom or to lecture on topics in their field. The labs, demos, and field trips help students to see the relationship between science in the class and real science as a scientist and help the students to be scientifically literate.
