    AP Exams - May 6th - 17th

    • AP Exam Registration for 2019 exams is now open!

    • Garfield is not offering late or make up AP exams for students who miss an AP exam for any reason.
    • Any exams that were not paid for by March 2nd have been cancelled.

    State Testing

    • All students must take and pass state exams in math and language arts to be eligible for graduation.
    • Students will first attempt state exams in 10th grade, testing within their language arts and math classes.  Testing dates are determined by classroom teachers, and make up tests will not be given if students are absent on the scheduled testing dates. 
    • Any student in 11th or 12th grade who has not met the state testing requirements will be given the opportunity to test again in April of 2018. Students who miss that scheduled opportunity will need to wait until November to take a make up exam.

    School Day SAT - March 6th

    • The SAT was offered to all 11th graders on Wednesday, March 6th.  Student who were not absent will not have the opportunity to test through the school - they will need to register to test on their own. Students can set up accounts and register for the SAT on the College Board website.
    • Results from the March 6th SAT will be available in April.  Students should check their College Board account for scores. 

    AP Exams 

    Registration: 
    Garfield High School offers AP exams for: 
    1. Students who are enrolled in an AP course at Garfield. 
    2. Home schooled students in the Seattle area.
    3. Students enrolled another Seattle Public Schools high school.


    We will be using the Total Registration site again this year for AP registration. Students will register HERE. Once you have registered, you will need your student's ID number to create a SchoolPay account to pay for AP exam(s). Click HERE. 

    Registration will begin on Wednesday, January 23rd at 3:00 pm and closes Wednesday, March 6th at 11:59 pm. Each exam will cost $102 and payment will be made through SchoolPay via the Source. Students will complete their pre-administration session online during registration and their responses will be printed on their answer sheet.

    We will continue to offer a reduced price of $15 per exam for students who qualify for F/R lunch. Students who qualify for F/R lunch will register using Total Registration and make payment (Cash or Check) with Leslie Hurd in the main office.

    Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the time listed below. The times listed are the times the AP Exam will start. Students arriving after the start of the exam will forfeit their exam.
