    AP Exams - May 4th-15th

    • AP Exam Registration & Payment for the 2019-20 exams are now open!  
    • Information about AP registration, exam dates, fees, and policies please see below.
    • Garfield is not offering late or make up AP exams for students who miss an AP exam for any reason.
    • Any exams that were not paid for will be cancelled.

    State Testing

    • All students must take and pass state exams in math and language arts to be eligible for graduation.
    • Students will first attempt state exams in 10th grade, testing within their language arts and math classes.  Testing dates are determined by classroom teachers, and make up tests will not be given if students are absent on the scheduled testing dates. 
    • Any student in 11th or 12th grade who has not met the state testing requirements will be given the opportunity to test again in April of 2018. Students who miss that scheduled opportunity will need to wait until November to take a make up exam.

    School Day PSAT - October 16th

    • During the 2019-20 school year, the PSAT will be available for 9th-11th grade. During the PSAT the 12th graders will participate in a Day of Service at Washington Middle School for Service Learning Hours.
    • During testing, Garfield will not have regularly scheduled classes and will have early dismissal at 2:20 pm.
    • 9th-11th grade will check-in 8:45 am in the GHS Commons to find their room assignments for testing.
    • 12th graders participating in the walking field trip MUST complete and submit the district permission slip to the Counseling office. Check-in will be in the auditorium at 8:45 am.

    School Day SAT - March 4th

    • The SAT was offered to all 11th graders on Wednesday, March 6th.  Student who were not absent will not have the opportunity to test through the school - they will need to register to test on their own. Students can set up accounts and register for the SAT on the College Board website.
    • Results from the March 4th SAT will be available in April. Students should check their College Board account for scores. 

    **18-19 SAT SCORES UPDATE 9/24/19**
    The College Board created duplicate accounts for Garfield students and as a result there are no records shown for the May 6th SAT. Please have students get their May 6th score registration number from their, advisory teachers. If a student is Running Start, please have them go to the career center to get their registration number. Students can use their registration number to call the College Board for scores and exam updates. Garfield thanks you for your patience!


    AP Exams

    Garfield High School offers AP exams for: 
    1. Students who are enrolled in an AP course at Garfield. 
    2. Home schooled students in the Seattle area.
    3. Students enrolled another Seattle Public Schools high school.

    STEP ONE: STUDENT ENROLLMENT & EXAM REGISTRATION

    • CREATE ACCOUNT OR USE EXISTING USERNAME & PASSWORD AT MYAP.COLLEGEBOARD.ORG

    • COMPLETE STUDENT ENROLLMENT PROCESS FOR EACH AP CLASS YOU ARE TAKING

    • IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER YOUR LOGIN

    • IF YOU ARE NOT TAKING THE EXAM: OCTOBER 4TH IS THE DEADLINE TO COMMUNICATE THIS TO YOUR AP TEACHER

    STEP TWO: EXAM PAYMENT

    • CREATE ACCOUNT OR USE EXISTING USERNAME & PASSWORD AT SCHOOLPAY.COM

    • SELECT EXAM AND PAY ONLINE ONLY USING A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD (EXAMPLE: 19-20 AP EXAM LATIN)

    • FEES ARE $102 FOR EACH EXAM

    • SEE MS. TIFFANY IN THE CAREER CENTER DURING NON-CLASS TIMES IF YOU QUALIFY FOR A FEE WAIVER

    STEP THREE: EXAM CONFIRMATION

    • CONFIRM YOUR PAYMENT ONLINE VIA SCHOOLPAY

    • CONFIRM EXAM REGISTRATION WITH AP TEACHER

    • PRINT RECEIPT FOR EACH EXAM AND RETURN TO AP TEACHER BY NOVEMBER 1ST

    • IF NEEDED, GET A FEE WAIVER FROM CAREER CENTER BEFORE NOVEMBER 1ST

    2018-2019 AP Scores were released in August. Garfield Students need to log on to their College Board account and use their AP number to access their scores at College Board
