    January Scholarships

    Various scholarships with deadlines in January. These scholarships are not just for seniors!

     

    BECU Foundation Scholarship 

    The BECU Foundation is looking for candidates who embody the people helping people philosophy by playing an active role in giving back to their community, whether through volunteering or through other meaningful contributions of time, effort, and care. Accepting applications from Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, 2020. A minimum of 25 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors, or to students currently enrolled in an accredited two-year, four-year or technical college or university. 2-year renewable for $2500/year.     Classroom to Classroom Scholarship 

    This year, Education.com is awarding a $5,000 college scholarship to a deserving high school senior interested in pursuing a career in teaching.

    STEM Focused Scholarships 

    Scholarship opportunities for high school seniors planning to attend a college or university in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related to the field of aviation or aerospace.

    Washington State Governors’ Scholarship

    A scholarship for Foster Youth is a scholarship program that helps young men and women from foster care continue their education and earn a college degree.

    Leadership 1000 Scholarship

    The Leadership 1000 Scholarship awards funding to certain high school seniors attending eligible high schools and who are planning to enroll in a Washington state college or university. The scholarship is renewable and it is available in amounts up to $5,000 per academic year.

    Summer Program at MIT

    This six-week summer program immerses students in life at MIT through math and science courses, a challenging hands-on elective course, admissions counseling sessions, lab tours, and social events. FREE program! Student just have to find transportation to and from MIT campus.

    $2000 Rhonda J. B. O'Leary Memorial Scholarship - DUE 4/30/20

    A one-year scholarship for an amount up to $2,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited school within the State of Washington to earn a degree in Accounting.

    $3000 Fair Chance Scholarship - DUE 2/19/20
    The Fair Chance Scholarship is awarded to fourteen students from across the state of Washington pursuing higher education at an accredited two or four year college, university or trade/technical school. Students must be either a graduating high school senior or an adult learner/returning student. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. Applicants must also be currently working, volunteering, or involved in a school-sponsored activity at least 8 hours per month, on average. Prior involvement with the Fair (4H, FFA, etc.) and financial need may be considered, though neither is

    $3000 Washington State PTA Scholarship - DUE 3/1/20
    Washington State PTA offers three (3) $3,000 scholarships and one (1) $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors from Washington state public high schools with an active PTA, who will be starting college (either 2-year or 4-year) in the fall.

    $5000 Anderson Criminal Justice Scholarship - DUE 2/19/20
    The Anderson Criminal Justice Scholarship is awarded to a student in Washington state pursuing a career in the field of criminal justice. Washington residents who are either graduating seniors or returning students/adult learners are applicable for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in law enforcement. The $5,000 award is payable over two years ($2,500 per year). All funds are paid directly to the recipient’s college or university to be used toward tuition or books. For renewal, the recipient must be a full-time student, continuing in the field of criminal

    Pacific Northwest Scholarships - VARIOUS DUE DATES
    These scholarships are available to students who are permanent residents in the states of Oregon or Washington.

    The College Board Opportunity Scholarships - VARIOUS DUE DATES
    The more effort you put in, the more chances you get to earn a scholarship ranging from $500 to $2,000. If you complete all six steps, you’re eligible to earn a $40,000 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded—through monthly drawings—to students who complete each step.
