Building Leadership Team

The Building Leadership Team (BLT) is comprised of (5) elected certificated staff, (1) elected classified staff, (1) PTSA representatitve appointed by the PTSA, (1) student representative, and (1) representative from administration.  

The primary tasks of the BLT are to 1) develop building goals, 2) plan for professional development that supports those goals and 3) create a budget that supports those goals.

Providing professional development that helps the Garfield community define, implement, and evaluate a system of behavioral interventions for the second 15% of students for whom the PBIS framework does not provide adequate support.

Budget Process Committee: Evaluates and revises outdated procedures and protocols, researches and documents current practices regarding budget creation for transparency

Documents Committee: Evaluates and revises outdated procedures and protocols, researches and documents current practice regarding decision making, constitution,membership, and quorum for transparency

PBIS Committee: Evaluates different Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems, researches models, and presents information to the entire BLT to support Professional Development

Professional Development Committee: Designs and prepares for Professional Development days
