Current Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to volunteer with Garfield, either through the PTSA or within the school.  PTSA requests tend to be one-time, event related commitments.  The opportunities within the school are typically more long-term, once/week opportunities, but occasionally a staff member will have a short term, project-related request.  Please see below for current opportunities.

More information about the PTSA and how you can become involved can be found HERE.

Class of 2018 Parents Needed to Chaperone Grad Night!

Graduation is Tuesday, June 21, 2017 at Memorial Stadium. Immediately following the ceremony, most of the graduates will board charter buses and head out for a festive night of celebrating — safe and sober — at two or more local venues for food, music and fun! They will be returned to Garfield the next morning ~6 AM, exhausted but safe.

We need about 20 parents to help chaperone. At least 10 parents will ride the buses and the rest will drive themselves, but be on-site at the venues (which will remain secret, for the safety of our students).
