SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • On April 25, 2015, an earthquake in Nepal killed 9000 people and injured almost 18,000 others. Among the people who passed were Bailey Meola and Sydney Schumacher, who were Garfield alumni from the class of 2014. Both girls possessed inspiring attitudes on life, and their incredible impact on our community will never be forgotten.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

  • Hey, everybody! Come join next year’s Yearbook Staff!  Applications for Yearbook are out for next fall.  Grab one from the door of the yearbook/messenger room and turn it in to Mr. Lovre in room 201 by Friday, May 5. Learn skills, make friends, get occ ed credit! All in yearbook class!
  • CHEER TRYOUTS will be 4/25-28 from 3:45-5:30 in the gym. Current 9th-11th graders are eligible to try out. No experience necessary. Wear clothes comfortable for movement, and bring a water bottle!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Are you feeling stressed or anxious? Would you like mental health support? Stop by the Teen Health Center on the first floor and make an appointment with Ms. Moore to talk about emotional and mental health concerns, including family, social, and academic problems.
  • ELL Tutoring is 3:15-4:00 Monday and Thursday in room 312, Tuesday and Wednesday in room 330.
  • Tutoring in the Library Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:00

CLASS ANNOUNCEMENTS

2017

  • Seniors! Have you bought your GRAD NIGHT TICKETS? Tickets will be on sale TOMORROW at the Bulldog Counter during lunch. Everyone who purchases tickets and turns in signed forms by 4/30 will be eligible to win one of 25 Fastpasses for Grad Night in a drawing. For more information, or to get Grad Night forms, email garfield2017class@gmail.com. Tickets on sale Wednesdays and Fridays through April!
  • PROM guest pass applications are available now in the Main Office, outside the Activities Center, and online, and will be accepted until 5/19 at 3:30. Turn yours in by Friday, 4/28 to get the best ticket price!
  • The Men’s Wearhouse will be here after school NEXT WEEK Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for prom tuxedos and suits for people attending prom. They offer fittings and orders with great deals starting this week! Sign up outside the Activities Center.

2018

  • Class of 2018:  It’s time for you to schedule your 11th Grade Meeting! See the counseling secretary in the Counseling Office during non-class time to make your appointment. We'll talk graduation requirements and life beyond high school!

2019

  • Time is running out for the class of 2019 to schedule their 10th Grade Meeting.  Please come to the counseling office during non-class times to schedule your appointment with the counseling secretary, Ms. Traci.  This meeting is an opportunity for you to meet with your counselor to plan your 11th and 12th grade classes, and to discuss your plans for after high school.
